Faction Pods and Portals

A Pod or Portal is a purpose-built secure networking appliance — a Wi-Fi and Ethernet router that can only connect to your Faction Network. Minimal IT staff are required to deploy or support them. Put one behind your existing modem or router, and any machine or device you connect to it is unreachable from the public Internet. No additional firewall to deploy or configure. They can only be adopted into your Faction Network via an out-of-band authentication method that blocks phishing, spoofing and man-in-the-middle attacks by design.

ORION Assured

Adopt
It joins your network with your owner-controlled key — out-of-band, with no IT ticket and nothing exposed to the Internet.
Done
Connect any device behind it. It's protected end to end, with nothing installed on the device itself.
- Owner-controlled keys. Your keys are created by you at adoption, generated on the device. Faction never holds or has access to them. The key a unit ships with only lets it reach our provisioning network, and it is destroyed at adoption.
- Off the public Internet. Adopted devices are reachable only from inside your network.
- Out-of-band authentication. A direct key exchange with no phishable credentials.
- No anonymous access. Every device is cryptographically verified before any access.
- Zero knowledge of content. Faction never has access to your keys, so it can never read your data. It sees only the routing metadata of encrypted traffic crossing your Faction Network.
- Zero anonymity of action. Every action on your network is tied to a verified device or user, and that record is under your control.
- Micro-segmentation. Contain a compromise to a single Pod or Group.
